White bird on bloody background The eagle is an ancient symbol of strength and independence and nowadays still popular. Germany adorns itself with the “Bundesadler”. Since we Germans obviously have had a liability to use deformed eagles during the last centuries – simply look at the “Bundesadler”s of the last 50 years - the following symbol is appropriate.

The eagle as well as the colours can represent Germany very well especially among our foreign friends (e.g. Moesgaard, Wolin). It is easy to recognize and originates from a period ring from Byzantine. That way we avoid the coincidental usage by another group, which is possible with a more popular and more frequently published motiv.
